All Was Nothing

All Was Nothing

A Poem by Choosing Life
"

A memory that still stings

"

I wonder was all

Nothing

As I rehearse your verse

My soul remembers

How

Real it felt

I guess

I was the only one

That meant what I said

As the lines crisscrossed

And dissected truth

Became diluted

You polluted

Our friendship

To save face

Replaced responsibility

With you were played

Pursued and chased?

You know better

And

The words still

Hit my heart

Like darts

Holes everywhere

I love you burns

Like alcohol

In the wounds

None of this was true

For you
