Rejoice

 

 

Selah

Awakening to a glorious morning

Promise taps me on the shoulder

Reminding that this is a day that the Lord has made

 Rejoicing takes over my soul

Just as rest has caused my body to renew

The Spirit of the Living God has renewed my mind

As sleep made me be still

My mind at rest

So that what I thought

That I think that

I know I need

Wouldn’t get in my way

Selah

Often times I block my own path

Trying to grasp

What seems to be plain

Yet images change

Right before my eyes

So today I will be quiet

Except but to give praise

My words will only be used to edify

 As I get out of my own way

Allowing God to lead me today

I awaken
