Hidden in their beauty...

Hidden in their beauty...

A Poem by Cierra
"

This one came along because of something that my mom said about the flowers on the counter.

"

The flowers in the vase arranged to look so lovely

Are hiding a secret but it’s a big something.

Purple in color, small in size.

You may not know it, but they’ll be your demise.

The flowers so beautiful sit upon the desk.

Hidden in their beauty is the stench of death.

Intended to look fresh, and brighten up the room,

Only to bring the impending doom.

Decoration, they may be,

But wait just a while and soon you will see.

Peaceful they seem sitting at rest, but

Hidden in their beauty is the stench of death.

Multiple people love the sight,

But they’re unaware of the great fight.

Don’t let it fool you, the beauty that is

Because mark my words, you’ll get this.

You’re sure to notice in your last breath,

Hidden in their beauty is the stench of death.
