How we created it allA Poem by tirapiedrasThe motor of the whole cosmos lies down on this tiny couch
Have you noticed on a starry night
the skies clear no clouds fog or mist the rumour of vehicles far away the lights of the city asleep the moon absent and alien the hills lying in rest planes fleeing from the horizon shooting stars scratching now and then winds paused among drifting ships the sea holding itself together by threads the leaves on trees finding respite from temptation and sin the long grass refraining from dancing bats starving hedgehogs binging crickets bored on strike one two three stars blinking ashamed three four five stars winking complicit five six seven stars unmovable seven eight nine stars following another nine ten myriads of stars coming back together myriads millions billions of stars breaking apart and you and me naked on a sofa that does not belong to either of us not noticing anything? © 2024 tirapiedras |
