External Speaking, and Internal Speaking (thought)

External Speaking, and Internal Speaking (thought)

Language is a gift, we wouldn't be able to begin to ask the questions we do without language and words. Not only physically asking but the thoughts in our minds, our deeper thinking, we as individuals wouldn't be able to ask or think about things to ourselves.
Thesis wouldn't be possible without language, ideas and concept that we save  conceptualize and then assign a word to them and then we use them.
We use language to relate things in our minds for faster processing.
Like a database that we use to save, arrange, and relate things in our minds.
Were all so used to doing it in our everyday life that we do all this at the sub conscious level without ever consciously thinking about its process.
When I think about language and how I know English, i say English is my operating system, (like to a computer: Windows, Mac)
But it blows my mind to think that there are other "operating systems" languages and people out in the world doing their own kind of thinking, Creating their own kind of schema about the world and using a different system to do it.
Some words/concepts that don’t exist in English do exist in other languages that are to describe exactly how a thing is or to give a significant perspective to influence consciousness.
Once people realize this fact that we are all too similar, only then can we begin as total to get excited about diversity and differences and come together to jive our thoughts & perspectives to form the next.. Creative Moment of Reality

I really like what you are saying with this if I understand correctly. Due to the fact that as human beings we need to categorize objects and events in our brains and place words and relate things to one another we are all the same, because we all share the basic need to do these things. Even though the word for apple is different in many languages, it is still the same thing and we are still performing the same task of placing a term on the object. It is also astounding that even people that are not taught basic languages can communicate using their very own made up languages that we "educated" people could not even begin to comprehend. We as humans are an amazing species aren't we?

However I do have one question, animals have ways of communicating as well. Birds have various mating calls and dogs and cats use their body language and various vocalizations, and killer whales have been found to have unique dialects depending on what pod they are in and where they live in the world. So my question is, if that is their own "operating system" then can we really say that we are smarter than animals when they are functioning in the same ways? I know they don't exactly drive cars or have sent a rocket to the moon, but just wondering.
