Anonymous ThoughtsA Poem by Elena RojasThese thoughts are not to please, Or entertain the reader unknown, These thoughts are simple thoughts, Of the writer alone. These thoughts aren’t for the strugglers, Or for the newborn infants cries, These thoughts are simple thoughts of a writer, With dreams so far and hard, yet so nigh. Words for the author are rather arduous, Which means hard to achieve, or hard to find, For these words are but thoughts within your head, Drawing within every word, a thin black black line. For although your words are used to make thoughts, Thoughts cannot be put into a sentence, or a word, For words cannot truly express the thought within. This is what makes a writers words so absurd. For only the writer can understand the true meaning, Of the poem or story, the lesson within, For it is through words that the writers thoughts are made, And through the writers thoughts, words on the page begin. The writer struggles to put his thoughts on the paper, For thoughts are both visions and words combined, Thoughts are all senses in one word, A word anonymous...an anonymous word within the mind. If you could put your thought in one word, Or put three thoughts in a poem, or story, Then that my friend makes you a good writer, For that one word can set you free. A true writers mission is not to please the reader, But to stand up, and face the anonymous…the unknown, For a writers true mission is to put their thoughts to words, Without the true message being completely shown. © 2018 Elena RojasAuthor's Note
