Rain

Rain

A Poem by A Girl

The crystalline dew drops,

Dance gently upon my window seal,

They burst one at a time, plop, plop, plop.

The sky in background is lightly brushed with teal.

The smell of petrichor,

Exists within the cleansing air,

It seeps quietly through the door,

Thus reminding me to always keep care.

The Mother Earth bleeds in water,

And I dream of dancing in the symphony of wetness,

I am Mother Earth’s beloved daughter,

And I shall celebrate God's Earthly quintessence.
