You know.

You know.

A Poem by Remolyne Unknown

So you know me.

You know of the tears I cry alone

You know of the time I spend in the dark

You know of the things I whisper to myself to feel better

You know of the light that fades from my eyes till they dully shine

So you know me.

You know of the lies I told

You know of the secrets I keep

You know of the things done

You know of the life fading from me

You know what I want you to know

Did you know that?

So you know me.

In most cases I would agree with using repetition but here the line 'So you know me' detracts, I feel, from the piece. I think deploying it once is enough, followed by the list of "You know..." statements and ending with "Did you know that" would achieve a greater impact.
I like it.
