Love Migration

Love Migration

A Poem by Tinasha LaRayé
"

smuh

"

And he snuck away to a corner I couldn't reach

tucked away to follow a dream I couldn't feed

Time crept away like the reaper who seeks

Approaching all who breathe

Taking my breath from me

When he climbed on wings and flew to destiny

I cried

And smiled

At different times

And together

Eating the bitter with the sweet

And having no appetite

No desire to think on these things

Or forget everything

Or love full or less

I sat and thought of birds

And their melody

How they fly to find their harmony

How they migrate to stay in the warmth of their true love...life

And what they were created to be

Flying south to new but old lands

To arrive at what they're destined to be

And the orchestration is flying with company

Soaring the distance and sharing the scenery

& I was flying solo

Beholding what was a miracle in the making

plummeting to a fall worth taking

My heart not breaking

But building

New

Renewing my flight plan

I stand perched on a limb

Gathering my thoughts

Mind caught between the fall

And the empty on the ground

But heart

Flying

Soaring

Looking for her life-melody

To harmonize

Waiting

until it's time she fly

Playing

Until the orchestra calls her cry

Watching her songbird

Waiving bye

For now

But not

For long

Your poem flowed from the depths of your soul...I relate to your poem immensely, where thought has overwhelmed, and everything like eating ceases because you are lost in thought...a wonderful write.

I like the way you began and ended it. It was different.
