ElbowA Poem by Tinasha LaRayéjust feeling disconnected from life....even though so much is moving and happening around me.The inside of my elbow Aches Broken down from bumping against Noggins and souls And somewhere in the midst of it all Bones dislocated themselves As if looking for another place to live No cream no salve no pill, You could give, Could bring wholeness to this disjointed hurt Deep And quiet And deadly Or so it feels The ache awakens the hollow parts I thought were once filled Now seeing the substance never sealed And I lay as a victim Of leaky wounds Wrap me in your miracle, oh God I need bone to replace bone So cancer can be healed And joint find ligament find tissue find strength And move like dancing in the rain I flee the pain from my decay © 2011 Tinasha LaRayéReviews
