Hydrocephalus

Hydrocephalus is a condition
Where the spinal fluid
Collects on the brain
It doesn't drain
It causes several things to occur
One thing that happens
Is the head grows if left unchecked
It also causes migraines
Which in turn cause nausea
Then vomiting can happen

Living with hydrocephalus
Isn't easy especially as a child
Kids can be cruel
Especially when a revision is needed
Because the head gets shaved
And as a child the activities that occur
You may not be able to participate in
As the way to fix hydrocephalus
Is to input a Ventricular shunt
which is a plastic tube
That runs from the brain to the stomach
It can also branch off and go into the heart
Or they can place it in the lung cavity

I personally have the one that drains
Into the stomach wall
I have had many revisions
But that hasn't stopped from being a mother
Or a wife, a sister, or a daughter
