Descent Into Darkness

Descent Into Darkness

A Story by Dr. Tim Williams
"

the United States is leading the world down a path toward a more darker and foreboding world.

"
As time marches on the tempo of life has filled the world with an anxiousness, a foreboding premonition of darker times ahead. Today, the world has morphed into a more violent and troubled place. A place that is far removed form the serenity of those glorious days of yesteryear. A world now filled with terrorist groups and rouge nations whose leaders spread terror far and wide to achieve their diabolical ends. We also live in an age where drug cartels continue to spread their poison to an already susceptible public. The carnage that follows is all to apparent today in practically every city across the US. And, now the United States is being led by Tweedledee and Tweedledum who are steering this country to the brink of disaster by their eagerness to catapult this nation closer to international conflicts that have really no bearing on the lives and livelihoods of everyday Americans. In all probability the United States will instigate the ultimate disaster that will send international tremors reverberating all around the globe.

With Tweedledee at the helm of this ship of state it is readily apparent that the United States is about to become embroiled in yet another major conflict whether it be in the Mid-East or in North Korea. We have already proceeded to attack Syria and now strategic bombings have occurred in Afghanistan and yet the carnage continues. At home in the United States gun violence continues unabated by current laws. The lawlessness, where innocent lives are lost in the melee that follows makes us wonder will the violence ever cease?

With so much internal conflicts from coast to coast why would our leaders steer a course of more foreign intervention when there is so much distention that has only further divided this once United Nation? A divide that is festering open wounds of the racial divide that has been in our existence ever since the first slave ships arrived. The hatred and bigotry that has seeped into our society has now crippled and almost paralyzed this nation today. Questions need to be asked in light of what is happening not only to our society but our continued foreign intervention that only escalates an already unstable world.

Are our leaders of state so incapable of ushering in policies that would genuinely benefit the citizens of the United States? Or are they too preoccupied with the concept of superiority that they are willing to risk American lives in yet another futile attempt in imposing a doctrine of imperialism upon countries whose own cultures are totally foreign to America's? These are just some of the questions that need to be asked and answered by our "fearless leaders" One can not help but think of what is already occurring behind those closed doors in Washington that the American public are being beguiled again into believing that America has a dutiful obligation to secure our vested interests anywhere around the world.

It is amazing thought our vested interests that our government is so concerned in securing really don't benefit a troubled populace. The vested interests of the United States have for years only created the greatest wealth disparity gap in our nations history. Meanwhile the majority of Americans continue to wallow in a perpetual state of bewilderment confined to the rude awakening that things will likely get even worse. What will it take for our leaders of state to realize that our vested interests lie right here in the United States?

Today, we have Tweedledee in the White House who is so beholden to the corporate world of fossil fuels he is oblivious to the fact that energy sources of renewable green energy is readily available right here in the US. History has proven that so much armed aggression centers around obtaining energy and water resources for the sole purpose to garnish more wealth, power and control. We have to realize that there is really no need to continue to pursue an agenda that only continues to augment those corporate donors that have entrenched themselves with practically every elected official and that includes our President.

If we continue on our present course and fail to realize that our own future lies within the United States the decent into a more dark and foreboding world will only continue until the light of liberty and freedom is extinguished forever.
