What No National Outcry?

What No National Outcry?

A Story by Dr. Tim Williams
"

Why aren't the American public more inclined to rise up and demand a total recall of this years past primary season.

"
In this the year of political turmoil where distention, corruption, and a whole assortment of improbable events has forever tarnished the American democratic process. Many of us are questioning where is the national outcry in the aftermath of one of the most corrupt democratic primaries in our nations history? The American people should be demanding a complete disqualification of not only their chosen candidate but a total recall of every democratic primary through-out the United States.

Like Nero fiddling away while Rome burns too many of the American public have displayed an apathetic attitude, turned a blind eye, and maintained a gullibility that has kept the public from doing what is right and ethical into accepting that the status-quo continues. It has to be noted that if the status-quo continues the American experience that existed for our grand fathers and fathers during a time of unprecedented economic prosperity for the majority of Americans will never be available for generations to come. The future that was once bright and promising is dimmed by the vast measure of corruption that continues to exist in our democratic process and our society today.

Today, many have become so desensitized to the realm of reality that they face each day. So many of us are now accustomed to the fact that we are powerless to effect change. When the powers that be in the Democratic party willfully acted without any regard for the democratic process by coercing the one candidate to subjugate to the will of the establishment that one opportunity to affect real change was gone. Millions thinking that they could in fact affect change in rallying behind Senator Sanders and make a real difference were now being denied their collective efforts to affect that change. In the end what the establishment of the Democratic party did has completely added to the already deterioration of American democracy.

Now, we have two of the most flawed political candidates in history vying for the nations highest office. This while other candidates are barley on the national register of media attention one can only conclude that it is quite evident the media is orchestrating a well scripted scenario aided by the established hierarchy of one political party. For what purpose one might asked? The answer is not so surprising either. But, where is the national outcry for the injustice and complete failure of our democratic process that circumvents the publics will to satisfy the establishments own personal gain.

With a nation so splintered where so many factions playing one against the other, a nation so torn with racial injustice, and inequality and a nation on the very edge of financial ruin we had better wake up to the fact that the status-quo is actually undermining our very own way of life, and our personal security. We are being beguiled and yet where is the national outcry that would rally the public and demand that our government truly addresses the needs of the public and not just the top 1%.

It is quite doubtful that any of these two candidates where one is viewed the lesser of two evils will be able to mend the wounds of an ailing nation. A national outcry by the public is needed to awaken the masses that are now being coerced by the media into accepting the will of the establishment. Today, the establishment has managed to circumvent the will of the people and beguile millions of Americas to keep accepting the status-quo. This when in fact the status-quo has put this nation on the brink of self destruction.

The one person who ignited a national movement and ushered in a whole new generation of voters that could effect change to move this nation away from the brink of disaster was pushed aside. Pushed aside in favor of the predetermined appointed candidate. Now where is that national outcry to stand up against a rigged democratic process, a very flawed candidate, and another candidate who is equally flawed in his own right. If we are to save this nation from disaster there has to be a National Outcry to affect real authentic change that works and benefits all Americans.

Yes this election's pretty fucked up but believe it or not we've done worse. LBJ refusing to run for a second term, the 1968 DNC ending in a police riot, the 1972 break in of the Watergate hotel that ended with Nixon's resignation, The 2000 election being decided by the supreme court, the Bush administration selling the invasion & occupation of Iraq to the American people on faulty information then systematically ignoring military & middle eastern advisers as to the fiasco that was to unfold, the 2008 economic meltdown & the aftermath of corporate bailouts and middle class worldwide destruction that followed. There's never been a shortage of political, corporate corruption. What's going on now with the establishment democrats is just business as usual. Bernie getting edged out with the usual amount of chicanery is normal for them. I voted for Bernie in the primaries not because I thought he'd win. I voted for him for being the one voice who told the truth. What he would have been able to actually accomplish with the Republicans in control of the house, that's anyone's guess. The rise of Trump is a rather unique phenomenon for the US though. Europeans have seen his authoritarian act before in with the likes of Hitler, Mussolini & Vladimir Putin. A tough talking, personality cult strong man with easy answers to complicated problems he has no clue how to solve but he knows how to get the base riled up. Trump's got as good a chance of winning 2016 as an ant at an Aardvark farm's got of seeing the sun rise the next day so don't worry about him. Whether we like it or not Hillary's going to be the next president. The Establishment wants her & they're going to get her. This was a brilliant piece. I admire your passion for politics. Keep screaming & shaking your fist at the establishment. It takes time but the people will win. Great work!!!
