Character

A Story by TJ

In the beginning, he pleaded for his life.

Now, he begs for his death.

Abraham said, "If you want to test a man's character, give him power.”

I say, if you want to test a man's character, give him pain.

This has definitely been bouncing around in your head for a reason! Very creepy and as others have said, very chilling. You should really keep going with this, see where it takes you. Can't wait to read the character that you create who thinks along these lines, very scary. You definitely have something here, go with it!

Very nice, I love that last line and yes, if you are like me you will need to let the thoughts ripen in your mind...:) When my thoughts keep 'simmering' I can write poems very quickly; but in reality the thoughts have been stored waiting for just the right moment to complete with all the right phrases for a poem. Keep the thoughts rolling, more shall be revealed!

this would make an AWESOME story! i totally think you should expand!!!
like in my mind there are theses two gods who are struggling over the character of one man so one gives him power and one gives him pain, of course it would be from the view point of the pain god and it would be soooooooo creepy by completely awesome!!!!!

Interesting .... If you could flesh it out a tiny bit more you could make this into a fifty word story ....

I think it's got impact by itself; depending on what lines come afterward, there's no need to continue at all

Gifted insight is promise to wisdom. These words are few but many in ways of expression and composure. They hold meaning much deeper than ever believed. Wonderful job.
