Character

A Story by TJ

In the beginning, he pleaded for his life.

Now, he begs for his death.

Abraham said, "If you want to test a man's character, give him power.”

I say, if you want to test a man's character, give him pain.

This has definitely been bouncing around in your head for a reason! Very creepy and as others have said, very chilling. You should really keep going with this, see where it takes you. Can't wait to read the character that you create who thinks along these lines, very scary. You definitely have something here, go with it!

Sometimes a lot can be said in few words. IT makes a most powerful point period. Very nice poem. I really liked it!

I like the musings - I think there is definite scope for continuation - but that is up to you - it's more like a short poem of sorts - the idea - biblical even - I think the last line is great here - only through pain can you see - only when they care not for pain are they free... nice!

straight to the point, interesting, powerful, would be interesting if it was continued for sure, but if not it's also great as it is. :D

Wow, this is really profound and tests the boundaries of what is considered normal and "safe" to write about. It's concise and to the point and leaves the reader wondering. It's definitely left an impression on me. Very well done.
