morning dew

morning dew

A Poem by timothygalexander

Cell block 5 and I am dim
Off white walls, sectioned by drab green trim

A false prison a helpless heap
Life I hear but the time just creeps

Distant yet close, through the window I stare silently
A cold bleak chill I shudder violently.

I am a ward  of my own simple mind
"You piece of s**t" it defiantly chimed

But hope prevails and mercies are new
Like A rapt early morning with consistent morning dew.
