Angst Blanket

Angst Blanket

A Poem by timothyedward
"

This is about my anxiety ( I suffer from panic attacks and GAD and social anxiety ). More specifically it about my obsession with my past and possible futures as a means to escape the sad present.

"

I project

into invented future memories

shards of looking glass

and they reflect the firefly

bursts

of a daydream revolver

firing synapse

after synapse after synapse

from the recess

where resides another mirror

darkly

and I'm tucked sleeping

in this nebulous dendrite war-game

anxious and numb

but safe from the intermezzo
