all i ever wanted...A Poem by timcampbellAll I ever really wanted folded hands, a dream of something. A good-bye before you leave and a gift to receive. All I ever really wanted was a pair of lips, a pair of hips, to kiss; bliss. All I ever really wanted was a cup of tea, your honesty, honest-to-goodness company. A floor to sweep, a house to clean, a life to be. I want a mouth to feed and someone who wants me, dinner and a movie; I want to be free. I want to not want you and me. I want raw body heat and poetry; I want to hear and see. I want longevity and meat; I want my woman and I want my man. I want to live by the sea and monopoly over my feelings which, to overtake, you are just too keen. I want traffic in these hallowed halls, and I want your heavenly host. I want me and you not you and me. I want some say, I want some soul. I want like, I don't want love. I want your answer because I want to ask you another question. And I want you to know all about me, but I want them to know nothing. I want reconciliation, and that's all I ever wanted.
