find them on your own

find them on your own

A Poem by timcampbell

what gentle lips
befell those eyes
so jovial
and juvenile

but quickened hearts
and forgave lies
show'd full intent
yet no denial

they had a choice
let fate decide
through the outcome
the others, vile

and soon chose, too
to halt their sighs
innocent fears
of earthly wiles

these eyes see, too
prophetic views
of their hidden,
closet'd desires

you won't see them in the mirror,
turn around, those lips are here.
