Reflecting

Reflecting

Reflecting

Deep is the core of inner character

That we have yet to meet

And sometimes we elude it

Is it for some reason or forgotten lore?

That we choose to remember never more

Let us not tread the shallow water

For fear we may drown

In the facade of outer surroundings

when we place our feet on hollow ground

Let us not stand the inner structure

Where the foundation should be

Shatter the rock first

before it reaches the glass

For the reflection you see

Comes from within

I will now agree that the answer to our questions are only deep inside. I remember Johari's Windows. Maybe there are times that you know something that others don't know; or you don't know something that other's know; or you both know; or you both don't know.
We just need time to reflect...

The above lines are very true. Hidden demons can destroy a life. We must know forgiveness of self and others. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

this is written in such an easy way to both read and comprehend and I agree with all contents.... sometimes we are a different person inside and either cannot or will not let this side show for various reasons....We either find and embrace or hide and ignore...
very well written
thanks for share x

Strange I was just now thinking along the same line of your thoughts, even wrote something in the same realm of contemplation. Very complex, yet simple this message. Much enjoyed Mauricio...

We as humans, have forgotten that we are incredibly spiritual...our intuition could flourish should we allow it! Powerful thinking :)
