Basket full of dreams

Basket full of dreams

Basket full of dreams

I've placed all my dreams in a basket

Yet they seep before they can be weave

So I re-shelved them

For the wall that lays before me

Wisdom states never to set them in one place

But I don't know where to store them

Nor whom can I trust to hold them

For their gone in the wind before I let go

This revolving door has become a nightmare

I'm unwilling to resolve

Unless I weave the basket with everything I know

Isn't life just filled with dreams and dissappointments Mauricio and then out of all those experiences we become who we are, grasping at the strings holding on to find those inspirations that keep us going, it ain't easy at times but that is why we have this strength to overcome to still belive in ourselves. Your words are a reminder of how not only do we struggle but how we survive...

I enjoyed the vision this gave me. I see dreams being tucked into each rung of this metaphoric basket.

dreams is what life is all about we must dream and set
a gold to accomplish one dream at time
remember life is what we make it granted there is alot of curves in the road
ahead but you can smooth the bumps for we all make mistakes in life
For each mistake we make we gain wisdom
dreams are petals of inspiration that only you can weave
So go on my friend don't give up on your dreams
Excellent piece hugsssss :)

Seems to me that the harder I try to realize my dreams the more they fall apart...your poem reminds me of my experiences. Is it better to hold onto dreams or to let go of them and let them fly away into the wind? A poem that makes me think.

Very emotional Mauricio. Everone has such a leaking basket and such a hateful revolving door. Very interesting read with many subtle meanings!

HaHo (Hello),
These feelings you put down made me see how i would like to have things just so and not because it will just do, but how my actions affect my loved ones.
I pray we have the time to make it so! If not, then the ability to wing it on the fly!
Life and Light!

I love the comparison of the dreams and the basket weaving them. Dreams have no shelf life. We can decide to obtain them anytime we see fit. Hold on to that thought.

Bitter sweet yet true. Shows you our lives are just a string of heartbreak and triumphs. Yet through it all we try to weave that basket as fast as we can even though we know what we put inside will just melt away.

Ah, weaving the basket. That is the lesson to be learned. Mauricio you've unveiled a very hard to find answer for most everyone. Your portrayal of dreams is one of the best I've read. A true poet weaver.
