time and space

Calendars

A city was built upon a lake

Place a house on a rock they say

But I’ve place my life on the sand

To let the wave of water wash it all away

Two calendars coexist to count our days

Yet those dates never remain the same

Seconds become minutes, by thee hour

Only to end and start all over again

Time is space that goes without

And Also within

For there is no end

Life feeds from death

For it's no demise

Giving cause for birth

Lends forth a new beginning

We could never comprehend

While searching to find fault

In something we don't understand

I love the new perspective in this poem. Life doesn't end it simply changes direction and form. This is a great thought provoking piece and I love that you a free spirit wrote it only the way you could. It is very intellectual and outstandingly done

Oh, this one is deep and meaningful...I've also found myself at a point in my life where I've realized it doesn't make sense to make houses on rock, better to let the shifting sands bring renewal...and more. Excellent poem.

we are but moments held within time Mauricio...and you have captured it well within the expressions of days and years within calenders that only can remind us of the continued experience of life and death...endings and new beginings...nice work...
