calendarsA Poem by Mauricio Montoyatime and spaceCalendars A city was built upon a lake Place a house on a rock they say But I’ve place my life on the sand To let the wave of water wash it all away Two calendars coexist to count our days Yet those dates never remain the same Seconds become minutes, by thee hour Only to end and start all over again Time is space that goes without And Also within For there is no end Life feeds from death For it's no demise Giving cause for birth Lends forth a new beginning We could never comprehend While searching to find fault In something we don't understand
