On Those Terms

On Those Terms

A Poem by Mauricio Montoya
"

a love I could not have

"

On Those Terms

Why such excuses

if your feelings for me are not the same.

Reject me please, let me leave so blue.

At least I know this love will never bloom.

We can stillborn a relationship,

Without the formality’s,

of something that could never be.

After all what can I gain from a heart of stone

That will never bleed when mine is alone.

My door will remain open even if yours is closed

For there are some things we could never have,

Nor keep.

Why cherish, admire or even weep

For a beauty I could never reach.

This is to the girl in which I wrote the poems (You’re beautiful, Linda Amor and Wishful Love.) I thought, silly me that there was another chance because of something that had happen on new years eve and for a few days there was hope then she shot me down with why it couldn’t be so I wrote this and plan to give her this piece of my mind lol tell me what you think good or bad. Thank you.

Oh dear .. this poem is fact not merely a web of beautiful words.

How sad .. loving another person makes life so very special. Love can be utterly, utterly wonderful but, surely it has to be shared, needs to be a two way feeling to have real value, real staying power.

Maybe, maybe, things will change for the better, who knows what the future holds..

There are some very touching phrases here .. 'After all what can I gain from a heart of stone ~ That will never bleed when mine is alone.'

It is very straight forward. The reader is allowed the honest truth through an eloquent piece of poetry. Excellent piece on relationships gone cold.

Us women sometimes only realize things till its too late. Give her a while and she may change her mind, we are funny creatures at times and i think I'm the only woman will admit that lol

It's beautiful. Perhaps she just got cold feet and will change her mind. It's a lovely poem.
