The DukeA Poem by Mauricio MontoyaA court jesterThe Duke A court jester, Busts in, on an anonymous meeting. Yelling The queen, is in denial. Silly me, I thought the queen only drank tea Just then, The sergeant of arms began to speak. Sit down, And have a seat, For the order of business is at hand. You may have issues, And some resentments. But I truly don’t give a dam. Suddenly, Came the mighty roar, Is anybody willing? To help him up, And out the door. Hear, here, said the duke I do deplore, I’ll give two shillings, And many more. Loyal to the king, The subjects, Could no longer ignore Well, well, Two shillings, Then put him out the door. So, This is the story, Of a dysfunctional kingdom. That found, Sometimes Personality outweighs the principles.
