I Wonder

I Wonder

A Poem by Mauricio Montoya

I Wonder

I travel a world I don't know.

As I stand on a rock,

My view,

A vast open sea.

How far must I reach?

To obtain infinity

Day by day,

I've walk across these rocks,

In my view,

 All I can see,

 Is,

Vast open land,

No matter how close I get,

The distance always seems an eternity

But as night descends I pray for light,

As I lay on the rock I've walk with,

One thing I know for sure.

My heart will always be home.

Its crazy how you can be doing the same thing everyday hustling you know and you still dont reach your goals. Some may say that you're never satisfied with life yet its that greed that keeps us going and no matter how far you get, you never forget where you came from (that's just my take on this)...great write, I enjoyed reading

I really liked this poem a lot. I know as much as I've wanted to travel the world, there's really no place I'd rather be than with the ones I love! Great writing, and very well put!

A far reaching and far seeing poem. I think I've been walking on those same rocks. There is no better place for the heart, but home. Mauricio, you are very "in touch" with this poem. Thanks for sharing.

I've never thought of my heart being my home, I've always been a fanatic appreciator of nature, however, after reading this i'm now pondering in thought, wondering if this mentality will really bring me happiness...
