A Poem by Mauricio Montoya
"

life

"

Seasoned

Sometimes,

Time will encase those things that will never change.

As clouds expand to spread their tears,

So the sun can bring fourth another day.

I've reminisce these days like a stillborn seed,

So it won't, ever grow.

Only to find when night falls,

All that’s left,

Is for me to rest my soul.

Oceans waves’ crash against the cliffs,

While the moonlight breaks through the mist.

I toss and turn a dreary me, awoke, from a dream of a sweet less night.

Now that the fog has settled, should I ponder what lies in wait?

Or place my life and trust in God, as my guiding light.

Many trees stand stern from the gust of mighty winds.

Rivers flow down stream upon arriving to an open sea.

As eagles soar through the vast sky in abundant air.

These are the things

The Lord has placed

Around me.

Just as the stars above are light years away.

I am no more near to thee,

 so I pray.

I marvel at what lies before me.

As a gift of life,

for all to see.

Amen

'Many trees stand stern from the gust of mighty winds. ~ Rivers flow down stream upon arriving to an open sea. ~ As eagles soar through the vast sky in abundant air. ~ These are the things the Lord has placed around me.'

Such wonderful awareness of the world, and that makes your beautiful poem even more aware of the Lord's care. Trust in everything around you, trust in self, trust in God.

This is a deeply felt piece of writing .. one of your best if not the best, lovely phrasing, finely presented.
