A Poem by Mauricio Montoya

Those we're the days, the sun shining
Together walking in the park, but gone,
When the music died
Many moons have past
Few got bright lights
When blood moon arose
Who from my heart shall I remove
Let time pass for the Grace of God
They will cross my path.
Many winter's Passed
the sun began to shine.
I went to a park where I'd been before,
Only to see what I saw,
I wasn't sure, but its you
To my surprise I realized.
With joy because
Not rain or shine in this park,
Nothing
Can't stop you from being here.
But if my light gets bright
I will.miss you,
Until.our paths meet again.
God bless.

i really enjoyed this very tender exploration of being parted from someone. we learn little about the persona nor the other person but we are still pulled into the feeling. the cold sensation in the chest when we miss someone, reflected by the moon -- the moon turns red as the heart bleeds, it is a powerful use of imagery. really felt connected with this work, it was moving, but it went down like good brandy.

A very interesting piece, of memories, of passed, of good deeds...after many dark winters, the sun finally shines and if only a dream... you and she re-unite and walk through the park as you did many moons ago and do whatever makes you happy once more....giving to others

great, even better!
warmly, B🌷
there is such hope and caring and kindness projected in this piece.
we have so many drastically political poems and poems about war and the hate in the world.
There is a peaceful feeling in this poem....a beautiful person who helps others, selfless.
Nice.
