Stand way Never Forget

Stand way Never Forget

A Poem by Mauricio Montoya

I saw a piano on the side of the road,
No legs, like a wounded horse,
She would never play.
My hands brushed a cross her keys
But no wind she would never breath.
But I will hold this cord before you fire the gun,
Because this mare, will one day sing,
Before you say Her life is done.
This old girl, before she's gone
Still has a few tunes to play.

I hear a metaphor in this poem. It speaks to the heart of all the wounded and old. Nicely stated and written.
