Cave Within.

Cave Within.

A Poem by Mauricio Montoya
"

Breaking a shell

"
I just.wanted to leave my cave
And stroll down memory lane
But this time today so I won't forget.
Wow I've slept, because things,
Have changed, wake up!
So a drink and cop a bench
So I crack a beer
When their gaze caught my eye
Have a nice and I lit a cigarette

it's an interesting piece tat begins with a desire that is more or less impossible to fulfil. some people are just trapped, and don't i know it. and so the persona copes with this hell like a real man: beer and smokes. it is a striking vignette of someone deep in trouble and a work i certainly relate to.

Your mood definitely changed for the better; you broke the ice, so to speak….changed you attitude and decided to do something fun for yourself.
Even it was drinking and smoking …… your mood was enlightened..l.
