I Pray

I Pray

A Poem by Mauricio Montoya
"

God

"
Father, father I pray, for the simply things.
Greed and the self righteous want war
And we the have nots have to see in pain
Father I pray , you must exist
So our Faith is not in vain,
Otherwise our hope dies
As many shall fallow
Why allow and divide
What we most cherish
So God I pray every day
Bring us together
Before we end
What we never had.
I pray for your grace
Only to believe in faith
We can be saved
I pray.

We all need hope, some get it through prayer. This is a thought provoking poem dear Mauricio. What about those who do not pray? Where does there hope come from? Everyone deserves the basics for living. Sadly there is so much greed in this world and so many who have nothing.

I pray for many things. I pray for those who suffer and for simple things. I like this poem showing faith and asking God for his help.

Thanks I hope all is well for you.
Yes we are in a great divide worldwide... and it is causing tens of thousands to die... but God can only do so much...it is we, the people, who must get our leaders to cease the fighting.... it's always good to pray..that gives us hope....

Seems it takes courage to admit to believe in God and prayer these days. To each his or her own, of course. But prayer hurts nobody, the deity hurts nobody.. its man's lack of reflection into what for the individual matters, and - that is what matters. Do unto others, etcetera - is one of the greatest quotes to live by.

Thank you for sharing your more than gracious and generous thoughts, Mauricio, sir.
