Wonder lustA Poem by Mauricio Montoya
I sit on the side of a road, wondering.
A thousand efforts to rise on my feet Its hard to take the first step For a journey so long, no bets. But how far can I get, if I don't stand. Young it took miles to get old, I'm stranded. Never to go back, move ahead. Complicated, because there's no time left. How with what little I got, make it more. One day at a time, but ill lose my mind. Because nobody can find peace in one life span. I live to regret I'm only human, how sad.. But proud to learn I'm not perfect, still. I run and hide to get away, but my shadow is right behind. I think that's what's wrong, unless I look inside and see. Then ill be free from going anywhere. © 2024 Mauricio MontoyaReviews
