I think what you're trying to say is that we work too hard and don't play enough; we can have so much joy in our lives, but we don't grasp it....play can have lots of meanings including sensual play.... but i look at it more broadly and that is if we don't take advantage of it, "we've been played"
...which means we lost....I enjoyed reading this.
