Two is one

Two is one

A Poem by Mauricio Montoya

My dearis a counter culture dream
In from you to me awoke
a love never the same
Yet we hold wonder
You and I
For you hold dear
What I could never see
Deep inside
But a blind beast see the beauty
As he saw the light
Not pride nor shame makes it right
Yet here we are
With the Ying and the yang
Have's and have's not
War without rose's
Just more demands
Thick and thin
Bad or worse
On the middle of this
We're still standing
Battle loses Battle not won
A war never gain
As we depart
Let the sun hit your back
And don't turn to look
Keep your eyes towards
The storm that Lay's ahead.

Let the sun hit your back
And don’t turn to look

That couplet stood out for me in a very beautiful poem. Sometimes we need a fresh start. That’s where your poem took me. The future is ahead. Nice work Mauricio.
