Love how this harkens to the way we all bumble & rumble thru life, a depository for whatever crap the last person was throwing down, which gets stirred & knocked around some, finally turning up on some distant shore with an ugly remnant of the past we find irresistible (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I think you should include your author's note in with the poem, the two thoughts compliment each other and add more to the concept here.

I believe you are right my friend. In time, all things become dirt again. I liked the honesty and the directness of the words. Happy New Year my friend. If the coronavirus ever ends. I will spend 10 days in Monterey and Big Sur. Finish my stories. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Also, I'm reading "Alice: Memoirs of a Barbary Coast Prostitute" and in it, she keeps describing herself as a bit of driftwood that occasionally gets stuck somewhere for a time before moving on to something else.
Personally, I feel these metaphors are too simplistic to capture the depth of human experience. I've only rarely felt that things were completely out of my control.
Your post really tells how so many people feel in this present wretched world. So much has happened and so very quickly. Now, whoever and wherever we are, there are times when we can feel almost worthless. But we're NOT and, must never be made to feel like that. Walk tall, look forward, long ago friend.
You've not posted anything for ages, glad that tho such sad, a sad post, you're able to find a way of expressing your feelings, Mauricio. Take care of yourself, keep safe.
