Be Who You Want To Be

Parents have always hoped,
That they could teach their kids,
A certain way to act, care, and listen.

No matter how hard you try,
All you can do is hope for the best.
Hope they find a lightened path to fall upon.

Be who you want to be,
And teach the way you want to teach.
A child at school, is like a child lost.

Lost in the woods, for days on end.
You can only wonder
What they do at school and act around others.

They may have many friends,
But what some don't realize
Is their friends are rude, selfish, and different.

Others may have few,
And realize they are around
A bunch of people who don't care-and a few who do.

Then I.
I rarely talk to anyone.
Taking advantaged for.

Taught by myself.
I have my distances and lines of guardians.
Being different and mocked by.

I have my opinions,
And I live life the way God planned.
But, never cross the lines...

Not past my guardians,
God will have you filled with regrets.
But me, dealing with me will not be a memory...

That you'd like to keep.
For I have one true friend.
He never back stabs me.

He never takes advantage,
Nor do we ever fight.
He's my friend.

He's my one only friend.
Best friend.
Always and Forever.

You can be who you want to be,
And you can be who you are,
But you can never be both-revenge will get you back harder.
