How pain can be described as

Pain; it can be physical and emotional. Pain can come from love and hate. We're constantly surrendered by pain. No matter what you do, pain is there. But the twist is, no matter what pain you're in, emotional pain is the worse to deal with.
Learning kung fu, deal with the bruises you wake up to, free running or parkour, takes a lot of trust in one's ability which leads to pain, stressing over the essay that's due in 2 min, you're encountering pain.
