HOW I WONDER  (Sonnet III)

HOW I WONDER (Sonnet III)

A Poem by Raymond Pratt
"

This is a sonnet that considers a certain spiritual realization.

"
How I wonder we could know where we belong:
Time -- tries to outmaneuver to its cause,
By subtle use of guilt and pointless laws,
Truth is, our Judgment Day has come and gone!
In innocence, we rise above it all
For there's nothing that can take our sanctity:
What gates of hell can prevail against me
Or you, when Holy Breath's incessant call
Is waking up deep slumber in the minds
Of exiles, who perceive thoughts of despair;
A world of hurtful castles in the air.
No reason can exist to see Him cry,
Less they be tears of laughter, tears of joy.
