Mental Defeat To Physical Resort

I don't know why I came up with this.

Crushed by the feets of giants or at least giant egos, 

ergo, in essence, it was but simply a mental defeat 

And don't we all know it's more plausible to handle 

defeat with physical violence when it's not going our way? 

We all learned that as little kids, naive and childish, 

still figuring out the difference between right and wrong

However, we do need to take it out on something, 

so some take it out on themselves and their own bodies 

The mental harm orchestrated on the act of bruised hearts, 

shown through the scars on their skin, and the bruises

Some take it out on their family, teenagers emancipated, 

labeled as the black sheep or even the rotten child

And then some take it out on love because why not deal damage

to a heart that's not bruised and make it equal to my own?

Because it's all in the name of love -- equality.
