Observation #5A Poem by Richard MuellerPoem based on observation.
I was sitting on the stairs at our partner school,
part of our school's Spring play as one of the leads I remember seeing how much bigger this school is, compared to ours 100 plus feet from the ground I saw a girl next to me, she had a book from the library, one of Frederick Douglass, she was of hispanic origin She seemed particularly tired and today was pajama day, and spirit weeks are weird, but I went with it, bringing a pillow I unzipped my book bag, my gym shoes, my street clothes, books, folders, paper, pencils, pens, and my pillow I asked if she wanted it, something more comfy than her bag, and she said "No thanks" with a look of disgust Was it the fact it was a poo emoji pillow or was it me? I have the feeling I came off weird, I just don't know how I did Is it so hard to be chivalrous anymore? In any capacity for that matter? I don't know, I don't tend to ask myself much anymore, and so I move along and carry on.
