Ocean Floor

Ocean Floor

A Poem by Richard Mueller
"

They call the ocean another world, alien-like. Aren't we like the ocean?

"
Cast me into the ocean and so I'll float out to sea,
but then drown to get away from monotone melodies
Life is the routine in which we all seem to say we live,
but in reality, we're as peculiar as the ocean floor
Dwelling in the depths, waiting to strike for our prey,
with our teeth clenched tight like the hand on the knife
Cast me into the ocean and so I'll float out to sea,
to get away from the predators that wish to come for me
