Nothing More

Nothing More

A Poem by Richard Mueller
"

Fictional.

"
Pearly tiles of the floor and brightly plastered walls of the room,
and some red against the curtains towards a world of pain and hurt
But who would know until it's too late, until it's all said and done,
why even risk it? It's safer to stay distant from the fingers of desperation
We're nosy like a cat is to locked doors, clawing and scratching to get in and know more,
and so you opened the curtain, the look of horror as you collapsed to the floor
