PrideA Poem by Richard MuellerYour pride is put on display for all to see, but if you need a fix, here's all you need to know...
Us humans, as supposedly intelligible we should be, are everything short of perfect
We're flawed, incapable of looking past our bias and doubt, for fear we live in, a life we are addicted See, it's funny because we can point out the flaws of him and her and them, but to look at ourselves? No... We look at ourselves and we don't see flaw, or being capable of human error, but rather a shimmering glow A glow not faltered with as it is fueled by our pride, a concept we wear on our sleeve, unadulterated and uncut Even I, the one writing about such pride, has as such, and is completely aware... And that's what's scary Somewhat. For with this awareness I have, I can now begin to shape myself for the better And to that I bestow upon you, the ability to find an awareness in yourself, so you too can become Better.
