Shortcomings

Shortcomings

A Poem by Richard Mueller
"

Unlike some, I don't take attention to the little things

"
I know you know me better than I do
I see you see through better than, too
I think often of your skill for the details
The details you see in me, in which I fail
To know, to see, to detail, I fail...

I wish I had the intelligence of my self
I wish I could see anything but a display on a shelf
I wish I would think of the detail of it all
And that, that I know, at least, is my downfall
To not know, to not see, to not detail, my downfall...
