Monotony

Monotony

A Poem by Richard Mueller
"

A Life Lived Baseless, Tasteless, Typical

"
Have you ever took a moment, asked yourself "What should I do next?"
Then realized the monotony you live and that idea leaves you vexed?

Your mind is a narrow, straight path and that leaves you so very wasted
Day in and day out, clock in and clock out, eat food, the same thing you've tasted

Over and over again, it never ends, and you wish you had adventure
But no... To this life, by blood and sweat and your being, you've indentured

"Break the cycle? Can't do that... I've built this castle with my body
If I ever tried to do something different, I'd feel it'd be a gaudy

Display."

we all ask ourselves that question and feel like our lives are one big revolving scene, a constant re-run.
