The MaskA Poem by Richard MuellerA Mask Is All Anyone Needs
Suffering in your skin
Wallowing in your sin Living behind a grin So far gone Simply a mask for what is real So no one knows what you actually feel But what if they wanted the mask to peel And it will dawn on them Will they look at you a monster just for wanting to hide? Will they wonder if it was because of your immense pride? The more questions they ask, the more you will die on the inside And to the shadows you will likely condemn
