Promises Unkept

Promises Unkept

A Poem by Richard Mueller
"

Something stupid. It's been made.

"
I am begging on my knees
Don't transfer your disease
Of every little promise that you could never keep
I am begging on my knees

Fade away so slowly now
So now promises turn to vows
And you never could keep those either
Fade away so slowly now

Here's to the good years and bad
Now leave me here to be angry and sad
About every little promise that you could never keep
Here's to the good years and bad
