I absolutely adore the steady rhythm of this piece. And pardon my comprehension, but is this piece about lust between partners? Anyway nice piece in all, short and precise. The last line is especially powerful, love it.

I love the meaning in this poem! Truly an important thing to write and read about. This idea could apply to everyone, but it also seemed like it had a little bit of feminism to me. I'm not sure if you intended that or not, but it reminds me of how some people used to, and still do sometimes, talk about women's emotions and drive as if it's just them acting silly and desperate. It's demeaning to have someone see another that way and that's why I definitely agree with you when you finished your poem stating: "if only being human was conventional". Great work! I really enjoyed reading Human Nature!

Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Nice. Your words cut through the perfume of poetry, yet they retain the fragrance of truth.
You have a carefully paced style of 'telling it like it is', dear poet.
