In order to live you need to be alive. But to be alive doesn't mean you are living. One can be alive in the sense that they are breathing and have a good percentage of functioning organs. But still inside their soul and mind they are very much dead. To live in the sense of experience, growing, learning and constantly changing one must first be alive.
