Nothing

This is a poem about heartbroken, about trying to change anything but trying to keep everything the same at the exact same time.

Wake up I,

Breathe, I try to,

Forget, I try to,

Escape, I try to.

 

No running away,

No praying,

Nothing helps.

Flower blooming blindingly,

Sun shining brightly,

Leaf interacting physically,

Snow dancing cheerfully,

Nothing chances.

 

No blaming,

No sobbing,

Nothing works.

Flower dying unsuspectingly,

Sun descending weakly,

Leaf falling uncontrollably,

Snow disappearing helplessly,

Nothing is the same.

 

Water flowing,

Sky darkening,

Smile fading,

Wind blowing,

Nothing is eternal.

Unable to love,

Unable to hate,

Unable, simply.
