Nothing like a held on book.

Nothing like a held on book.

A Poem by tiana hernandez

Rainy day
Dark sky, full of gray
Clouds moving slowly
As the raindrops hit the ground silently
Thinking of what to do or where to go
Something that used to be done a lot in the past
To now having technology that changes fast
But reaching to grab the book
Feeling the hard cover and remaining shook
To the feeling that remains
As it has many years of gains
Opening the book and feeling the pages
As every paper feels different through the ages
Moving fingers left to right
As each one touches each write
Each word has a definition
To even the times now of a changed generation
Throughout time new books come
But there will be nothing like the first one
To holding one for collection
And realizing society has changed through an outnumbered population
Reading the book as the day goes
To then remembering what the book does.
